DroneShield Ltd (ASX: DRO) has unveiled SentryCiv, a civilian-focused, subscription-based counter-drone platform aimed at securing high-risk, non-military sites from rising aerial threats.
The system delivers passive, non-emitting detection capabilities, enabling operators to track and identify drones and their operators in real-time without interfering with existing communications. Target sectors include airports, power grids, correctional facilities, corporate campuses, and other critical infrastructure.
CEO Oleg Vornik highlighted the urgency:
“As drone threats continue to proliferate worldwide, critical infrastructure is increasingly vulnerable to malicious and unauthorized drone activity. SentryCiv offers a comprehensive, scalable solution that provides real-time detection and situational awareness… enabling a rapid response to potential threats without disrupting operations.”
Â
Â
Unlike traditional defence systems, which can be costly and complex, SentryCiv adopts a pure SaaS model with no upfront hardware purchase, making it more accessible to civilian customers. Quarterly AI engine updates will enhance detection, performance, and feature sets to keep pace with evolving drone technology.
Â
Tom Adams, DroneShield’s Director of Public Safety, added:
Â
“Airspace security for critical infrastructure and public safety has never been more urgent. SentryCiv represents our commitment to making advanced counter-drone solutions accessible and affordable for non-military sectors.”
Â
DroneShield sees the launch as part of its broader strategy to continuously enhance product offerings and strengthen airspace protection in sectors where safety, operational continuity, and cost-effectiveness are critical.
Â
With drone incidents on the rise globally, SentryCiv’s entry into the market positions DroneShield to capitalise on a growing demand for civilian-grade, high-performance counter-drone systems—potentially opening new revenue streams for the $3.46 billion market-cap company.
