Key Highlights:

  • Two high-grade antimony zones, up to 300m long, discovered at Sabre and Falchion Prospects.
  • Rock chip assays returned values up to 30.6% Sb with 2.5 g/t Au.
  • Three near-surface antimony systems now defined across a 2.5km corridor.
  • Drilling program scheduled for later in 2025 with heritage approval secured.

Fresh Momentum in Critical Minerals Exploration

Tuesday, August 19, 2025 – Adelaide-based explorer iTech Minerals Ltd (ASX: ITM) surged into the spotlight today after announcing the identification of two new high-grade antimony zones at its Reynolds Range Project in the Northern Territory. The discovery builds on growing interest in critical minerals, particularly antimony—a key input for batteries, semiconductors, and defense technologies.

The company confirmed that zones at the Sabre and Falchion Prospects stretch up to 300 metres in length, with mapping and historical drilling suggesting widths exceeding 14 metres. Importantly, the mineralisation remains open along strike and at depth, indicating potential for further extensions.

Rock Chip Assays Signal Strong Potential

Assay results from rock chip sampling delivered eye-catching grades:

  • Sabre Prospect:

    • 30.6% Sb, 2.5 g/t Au
    • 29.7% Sb, 4.8 g/t Au
    • 24.6% Sb, 21 g/t Au
    • 11.2% Sb, 24.0 g/t Au

  • Falchion Prospect:

    • 15.9% Sb, 5.0 g/t Au
    • 5.5% Sb, 2.2 g/t Au
    • 4.7% Sb, 0.7 g/t Au

The presence of significant gold values alongside high antimony content highlights a dual mineralisation system that may enhance project economics.

Strategic Oversight in Historical Exploration

According to the company, previous explorers largely overlooked these zones, focusing instead on gold. Compounding this was the deeper weathering of antimony sulphides, which left poorer surface outcrops and obscured the mineral potential.

“While one high-grade antimony rock chip existed within historical exploration data at Reynolds Range, there was no indication of continuity or extent of mineralisation,” said Managing Director Mike Schwarz.

“iTech has now identified the source of the high-grade antimony as coming from >300m long veins at both the Sabre and Falchion Prospects. These veins have been tested with very few drill holes that were analysed for antimony, presenting immediate drill targets for our upcoming drilling program later this year.”

Three Antimony Systems Across 2.5km

Today’s results mark the third high-grade antimony system identified at Reynolds Range. Collectively, they extend over a 2.5km corridor, supported by a broader 6km-long soil anomaly. With heritage approvals already secured, iTech is preparing for a drill program later this year to test these targets.

This step is critical for unlocking the scale of the project, with much of the historical drilling yet to be assayed for antimony.

Market Context: Antimony in Focus

Antimony has emerged as one of the world’s most critical minerals, designated by the U.S., EU, and Australia for its strategic importance. It plays a pivotal role in flame retardants, energy storage, alloys, and defense applications.

The global market is forecast to grow steadily, with Exactitude Consultancy estimating a compound annual growth rate of 6–7% into the next decade. Supply, however, remains heavily concentrated in China, leaving Western markets searching for secure alternatives.

iTech’s discovery positions Reynolds Range as a potentially significant domestic source at a time of rising geopolitical and supply chain pressures.

Investor Snapshot

  • ASX Price (19 Aug 2025, 11:53 AEST): $0.074 (+117.65%)
  • Volume: 15.5 million
  • Market Cap: $12.64M
  • Shares on Issue: 170.84M

The sharp intraday rise reflects growing investor enthusiasm for iTech’s antimony strategy, though the company remains a micro-cap explorer with execution risk tied to drilling outcomes.

Analyst Perspective

Market analysts note that today’s announcement strengthens iTech’s positioning in the critical minerals thematic. The combination of high-grade assays, underexplored ground, and a clear drilling path forward gives the company leverage to both investor sentiment and broader policy-driven demand.

However, they caution that resource definition drilling will be the real test. “Surface assays are a positive sign, but the market will want to see consistent grade and tonnage from drilling before re-rating the company beyond speculative levels,” said one Sydney-based mining analyst.

Outlook: 2025 Drilling to Drive Re-Rating Potential

With heritage approvals already secured and drilling approvals in motion, iTech is poised to enter a transformational phase in late 2025. Confirmation of high-grade, continuous mineralisation could elevate Reynolds Range into one of Australia’s most prospective antimony-gold projects.

For investors, today’s update underscores why the stock remains volatile but compelling—a small-cap explorer chasing a globally scarce mineral at a time when the world is racing to secure supply chains.
