The order includes delivery of three FIT crushing stations in an Iron ore plant in Brazil and another for a gold plant in Canada. Know more about the FIT crushing station

 

FIT crushing station has been a once-in-a-lifetime creation in the minerals sector, developed by Metso, a Finnish Industrial company that offers services for mineral, oil, paper and pulp industries. It offers reliable and speedy crushing solutions and can be configured differently according to the industry plant’s requirements. 

 

Metso launched its modular FIT station on March 27, 2020. When it started, it offered only 2 stations in its modular crushing station. This includes Jaw crushing and Recrushing stations. It has also been equipped with smart sensors, and automated crusher-able technology.

 

It offers a range of crushing methods which is powered through many sub-stations including Primary gyratory stations, Jaw stations, and Recrushing Stations. It can handle crushing of up to 400 to 2000 tons/ hour of mineral matter. 

 

According to Metso, the FIT crushing station can be speedily installed and can be reassembled as per the needs of the industrial plant, and has been shown to reduce the CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) of many companies in the minerals sector. Other than that, several observations have been recorded that the FIT crushing station reduces time in crushing and screening work by 25% when compared to other similar stations, and 15% in installation time.

Primary gyratory station

 

The Primary gyratory station can have a modular setup in three forms that includes single feed, dual feed and indirect feed. This station offers 4000 tons/hour of crushing capability. It is powered via the MK PG III crusher, and the models include 42-65, 50-65 and 54-75. The processing station can be made stationary or can be skid-mounted.

 

Jaw stations

 

The Jaw station is run through Nordberg C120, C130, C150 or C160 Jaw crushers. There are 25 different configurations for the Jaw station. The configurations include jaw, 

apron feeders and grizzly scalpers. This station can be used as a stationary one and can also be skid-mounted for better mobility depending upon the industrial requirements.

 

Recrushing stations

 

Recrushing station is used for better tertiary or secondary crushing of stockpiles. This crushing station is powered via HP crushers, HP400, HP500 and cone crushers. The station also includes conveyors and has mounting abilities. Its crushing capacity is 450 tons/hour.

Metso redefines the mineral refining sector

 

Metso launched the FIT modular crushing station in 2020. The company till now has managed to sell 24 crushing stations all over the world. It is used for work in various industries such as gold, iron ore, graphite, lithium, copper and slag. 

 

Brazil and Canada have ordered four of Metso’s crushing stations, three and one, for their iron ore mine and gold plants. The deal was roped in at EUR 20 million. The Brazilian order adds itself to the 2023 fourth-quarter order intake of Metso.

 

Interestingly, Metso started its commercial journey by making the first sale to a Canadian company Amarillo Gold Corp. The modular fit station was delivered to Goias, Brazil where Amarillo Gold Corp had their Posse Greenfield gold mine. 

 

VP of the modular FIT crushing station, Metso, Huber Erwin states in the press, that the company has been thrilled to hear about widespread customer interest in the FIT modular crushing station. Comparatively, he emphasised that the equipment can improve the timeframe of installation and implementation by 30% when compared to similar crushing stations in the mining industry. 

 

Product Manager of Metso, Daniel Nagana, echoed the same sentiment and talked about different modules that can be installed as per the industry's requirements. There are a range of configurations that can be used through a diverse range of equipment the station offers.
