The Beete Gold Project, located 50km south of Norseman, WA, has recently seen the completion of a maiden aircore drilling program. This significant effort included 202 holes totaling 6,325 meters, targeting gold, nickel, and lithium potential. With over 2,000 assay results expected by late July 2024, the findings could reveal substantial hidden resources within the Norseman greenstone belt extension.
The Xanadu Project in the Ashburton Basin continues to be a focal point of Platina's exploration. Recent drilling at the Hermes prospect within Xanadu revealed promising mineralized zones, with highlights including:
- 15m @ 0.88g/t Au from 20m, including 2m @ 2.05g/t and 2m @ 2.3g/t.
- 9m @ 0.62g/t Au from 26m, including 1m @ 1.3g/t and 1m @ 1.27g/t.
Hermes is located 8.5kms southeast along strike of the same structure and lithology as Kalamazoo Resources’ Mt Olympus deposit (1.07moz @ 2.7g/t Au) and Zeus deposit (121koz @ 2.5g/t Au). The current total resource at Kalamazoo’s Ashburton project is 1.44moz @ 2.8g/t Au.
Future plans involve deeper drilling at the ‘Xanadu Deeps’ target to unlock a potentially large gold system. Additionally, Platina aims to continue geological mapping and sampling to further delineate the mineralized zones.
The Challa Gold Project is also set to resume its aircore drilling program, previously halted due to bad weather. This effort aims to define bedrock targets for subsequent reverse circulation drilling. The remaining program will include approximately 40 holes totaling 2,000 meters, further enhancing Platina's exploration footprint in Western Australia.
Platina's strategic focus remains on leveraging its financial strength to maximize shareholder value through successful discovery and exploration. The company's commitment to sustainable and responsible practices ensures the long-term prosperity of local communities and environmental preservation.
Mr. Corey Nolan, Managing Director of Platina Resources, stated, “Platina’s cash position is now approximately A$13 million ensuring drilling programs can be delivered without dilution to shareholders. The company is actively planning and securing approvals to commence a major phase of exploration reflecting our commitment to enhancing value through strategic drilling activities”
