Key Highlights:

  • Trigg acquires 49 mining claims at Antimony Canyon Project, Utah — largest, highest-grade antimony project in the U.S.
  • Foreign resource estimate: 12.7Mt @ 0.79% Sb, equating to 100,300t of contained metal.
  • Positioned for near-term exploration to validate and upgrade to a JORC-compliant resource.
  • TMG shares flat at $0.039 despite strong 457% one-year return.

Trigg Minerals Ltd (ASX: TMG) has taken a major step in its critical minerals strategy with the acquisition of the Antimony Canyon Project in Utah, USA — a deal that positions the company at the forefront of North America’s emerging antimony supply chain.

The acquisition, announced today, covers 49 unpatented lode mining claims that include the largest and highest-grade antimony resource in the United States, according to the latest Fraser Institute rankings and historical geological reports. The site holds a foreign (non-JORC) resource estimate of 12.7 million tonnes grading 0.79% antimony, containing over 100,000 tonnes of the critical metal — with historical workings indicating grades up to 3.6% Sb in select zones.

Shares of Trigg closed unchanged at $0.039, with over 9.2 million shares traded, amid a broader market retreat that saw the ASX 200 shed 0.58%. Despite the flat session, TMG remains one of the ASX’s breakout stories of 2025, boasting a 457% one-year return.

The Antimony Canyon acquisition not only complements Trigg’s existing Wild Cattle Creek project in New South Wales but also cements its U.S. footprint at a time when Western governments are aggressively pursuing critical mineral security. The project’s location in Garfield County, Utah — a Tier-1 mining jurisdiction — provides ready access to infrastructure and favourable regulatory conditions.

Managing Director Andre Booyzen described the project as “strategically transformative,” citing its scale, grade, and potential for rapid JORC-compliant resource conversion as major catalysts. “This is a critical milestone that elevates Trigg’s ambition to become a domestic supplier of antimony in North America,” Booyzen said.

The company will now fast-track exploration with a focus on validating historic resource estimates through mapping, sampling, and drilling. The ultimate goal: to deliver a compliant mineral resource and position Trigg as a cornerstone in the Western critical minerals ecosystem.

With antimony’s use in semiconductors, defence, and battery technologies on the rise, Trigg’s bold move into the U.S. may prove not only timely — but highly strategic.
