West Coast Silver Ltd (ASX: WCE) has reported shallow high-grade silver and gold intercepts from its inaugural diamond drilling program at the Elizabeth Hill Project in Western Australia’s Pilbara region. The latest assays confirm Elizabeth Hill as one of Australia’s most compelling undeveloped silver prospects .
Drill hole 25WCDD011 returned several zones of exceptional mineralisation, including:
Adding to the silver story, the same hole intersected 1m at 11.1 g/t Au at 51m depth. Native silver was also visually identified, opening the possibility of using straightforward gravity separation processes for extraction .
Executive Chairman Bruce Garlick called the results “outstanding,” adding:

The project’s location offers potential cost advantages. Elizabeth Hill sits just 25 km from the Radio Hill processing facility, providing an immediate option for toll treatment if development advances. Historic production (1.2Moz silver at a head grade of 2,194 g/t Ag) underscores the site’s pedigree, while today’s high-grade hits point to significant remaining upside .
Silver has been drawing increased investor attention as both a precious and industrial metal, particularly in renewable energy technologies such as solar and in electronics. With spot silver prices holding firm above US$38/oz, high-grade projects like Elizabeth Hill offer strong leverage to market demand.
Analysts note that the combination of shallow mineralisation, historic production pedigree, and supportive infrastructure could fast-track development timelines. The project also benefits from its Tier 1 jurisdiction, with Western Australia consistently rated among the top global mining regions.
West Coast Silver has now received assays for six holes from its maiden 12-hole program, with results for another six pending. Upcoming news flow will include further assays and updated assessments of near-surface resource potential.
At the time of writing, West Coast Silver (ASX: WCE) shares were up 16.22%, trading at A$0.215, extending a one-year return of over 264%.
